Lindy hands you the toolkit. Orca arrives already built.
Lindy is impressive: a platform where you assemble AI agents for almost any workflow, connected to hundreds of tools. The honest framing is that Lindy sells you the workshop and Orca sells you the finished machine. With Lindy, you are the systems integrator. With Orca, someone has already integrated the system, and it is aimed squarely at running an executive’s desk.
The short version
If you enjoy building automations, have unusual workflows, or employ someone whose job is ops tooling, Lindy is a capable construction kit.
If you want your inbox triaged, your meetings booked, briefed and followed up, and your booking page live this week without building or maintaining anything, that is exactly the shape of Orca.

The integrator tax
Every "partial" in the table above is the same finding: with Lindy it is possible, once you have designed the workflow, connected the tools, written the prompts, tested the edge cases and accepted that you now maintain it. Multiply that across triage, drafting, scheduling, briefs, follow-ups and memory and you have designed a product. That is genuinely fun for some people, and a hidden part-time job for everyone else.
Orca is what that project looks like after several years of building and daily dogfooding: an opinionated, finished chief of staff whose features already cooperate, sharing one memory, one approval queue and one view of your relationships.
The follow-up knows what the meeting heard
A built workflow that drafts email does not automatically know what your meeting recorder heard, and neither knows what you promised a client in March, unless you engineer that plumbing. In Orca the follow-up knows the transcript, the reply knows the relationship, the brief knows the open threads, and the out-of-office knows your whole history with the sender, because they are one system, not a stack of workflows.
The approval queue is part of that coherence: everything Orca wants to send, book or post lands in one place for your yes, which is what makes an autonomous assistant safe on a real client list.
Predictable cost, no metering
Usage-based credits make sense for a platform running arbitrary workflows, and they also mean your bill moves with activity. Orca is a flat managed monthly fee: the inbox can have a heavy week without the invoice noticing.
Booking pages are included too, through Orca Booking, with meeting types, intake questions and reschedules that move the original invite. On Lindy that whole surface is out of scope.
When Lindy is the right answer
Sometimes it is, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest. If the list below describes the job, Lindy may be all you need.
You want to automate workflows well beyond one person’s desk
You have unusual processes no packaged product fits
Someone on the team genuinely enjoys building and maintaining automations
You want one platform for many small automations across a company
Usage-based pricing suits spiky, occasional workloads
A note on which Orca this page is about
Orca’s full product is a managed service: a desktop AI Chief of Staff set up around you by a human, running on your own infrastructure, priced monthly for professionals whose time justifies it. That is the product compared on this page.
There is also a lighter £79/month web-only tier. It is a good product, but it does not include Orca Booking, out-of-office mode or several other features in the table above. If you are comparing against the tools on this page, compare against the full version, then see pricing for both.
Questions people ask
Is Orca a Lindy alternative?
They answer different questions. Lindy asks "what would you like to build?". Orca answers "your desk is handled": inbox triage, drafting, scheduling that books, booking pages, briefs, follow-ups and out-of-office, pre-built, coherent and configured for you.
Could I build Orca in Lindy?
You could build an approximation of parts of it: triage, drafting, some scheduling. You would then own the prompts, the plumbing between workflows, the shared memory problem and the maintenance. Orca is that engineering already done, plus surfaces Lindy does not cover, like public booking pages with real diary control.
Which is more flexible?
Lindy, without question, in the sense that a workshop is more flexible than a machine. Orca’s flexibility is human instead: it is a managed service, so it is configured and evolved around how you work rather than rebuilt by you.
What does Orca cost compared to Lindy?
Lindy meters usage with credits. Orca’s full product is a flat managed monthly service; see the pricing page. The £79/month web tier is a lighter version without booking or out-of-office; this comparison is about the full desktop product.
Where does my data live with Orca?
On your own infrastructure: a desktop app plus your own private database for mail context, transcripts and relationship memory. Hosted platforms process your data on their cloud.
